Great Start for School Year 2015!

My students need basic start up school supplies such as pencils, an electric pencil sharpener, scented markers, and colored pencils to begin the year ready to learn.

My Students

The beginning of the school year is an exciting time for students and parents. Many of my students will bring basic school supplies in the beginning but will still need pencils every day of the school year. Colored pencils and smelly markers are fun alternatives to add color to classwork.

My school is in a large urban city.

I teach a primary grade in a cash strapped school district. My students are mostly living in poverty with struggling families. While they may receive basic school supplies from churches and other organizations, it is still nice to have a variety of supplies in the classroom. My students are excited to learn but can become discouraged if they do not have materials to do so.

My Project

Your donation would mean the world to my students! They will be excited to learn using the colorful pencils for writing, smelly markers, and colored pencils for art and other assignments. The heavy duty pencil sharpener will be able to withstand daily use in my busy classroom. The pink Breast Cancer Awareness pencils will be easy to identify as the classroom pencils. Most children enjoy drawing as a way to express themselves. Students can use the colored pencils to draw, color, and complete projects in class. The smelly markers will be a fun way to express their creativity for projects in the classroom.

Your donation will improve classroom instruction because the supplies students need will be right there.

I will have enough pencils, scissors, colored pencils, and markers for students to work collaboratively on Literacy and Math projects and assignments. Students will have a sense of peace and not stress when asked to complete an assignment. Supplies will be given to the students when needed.
