Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 40 amazing and academically gifted elementary scholars. They enter my classroom with big smiles, are happy, and are ready to learn. Many students that come to our school do not speak English. We also have exceptional students included in our class.
We are a Global Magnet, Title I school serving 65% of low-income families who speak limited English.
We offer Mandarin Chinese and Spanish to our students. Our school also serves families whose parents work multiple jobs to help make ends meet.
My Project
I want to make sure students are safe throughout the day by placing personal items in ziplock bags. The bags will be used for classroom supplies and snacks. When pulling my students, many are leaving the classroom during their working snack time. I would like to provide snacks for students when they are pulled into small groups. Students will use the post-it notes when working on projects collaboratively.
I want to differentiate my students learning by creating individual learning bags.
