Help me give my students some mid day great snacks! My students often are often hungry after lunch and do not get breakfast. Cheez-Its and fruit snacks will help tie them over.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
The snacks I am requesting will help with the hunger of my students throughout the day. Often times my students come to school hungry and do not eat breakfast. They are late for school and do not get breakfast. Often times they do not eat lunch and are hungry in class. Offering snacks gives me an opportunity to provide a somewhat healthy snack for them until they can get home to eat a meal. Like last year, I was able to give snacks to my students, and to many students in my school building.
The hunger of children can go unnoticed, but as a seasoned educator, I pay attention to the mood of my students and find that they will not say anything when they are hungry.
Because of donors, my students are now comfortable with asking me for food items so they do not have to be uncomfortable being hungry.
