Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class consists of 15-20 amazing students in an engaging and diverse community. I am a special education teacher teaching students with learning difficulties, attention deficit disorder as well as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. I am currently a co-teacher, so this project would benefit regular education students as well. My students are learning to grasp a growth mindset as well as acquiring lifelong skills. At this time, they are engaging in school in person as well as virtually. We are in education at a unique time when the world is changing as well as in chaos.

My Project

In this project, I am requesting a variety of multicultural and books in English and Spanish for my classroom to enhance my classroom library. We are now approaching/in the second half of the school year, where the freshmen I teach have realized the importance of reading and are taking interest in new and relatable books.

Having a diverse and bilingual set of books in the classroom for my students to read is essential to their expanding education.

Students are just grasping how big the world is and how they can make an impact. By reading these books, they will gain more knowledge of the past present and future!
