My Students

I teach Academic Intervention Services to students in grades K-5.

I encourage my students to know that they are readers.

Our rural elementary school in upstate New York has a student population of three hundred and fifty students. Students who are at risk of failing the New York State Assessments and students who are having difficulty academically are recommended to receive Academic Intervention Services. That's where my room comes into play.

My students are hardworking and imaginative young learners. They strive every day to improve all areas of their literacy deficiencies. My students are all very eager to learn and love coming to school. They are independent, hardworking and compassionate.

My Project

The requested items will be used to motivate and reward students for completing homework and great behavior! My students work hard every night reading and practicing their work outside of their regular classroom work. This project with help provide them with prizes they can earn for their good behavior and consistent hard work.

Everyone deserves to be rewarded for their hard work and good behavior!

These prizes will catch their attention and motivate them to do their best everyday! Students work every day to earn points for positive behavior and hard work!

Students need to be motivated and recognized when they continue to work hard and behave in a positive way. These prizes provide incentives for the children to work for and earn. Children will have the opportunity to choose from the gumball machine, MM machine, jelly bean machine, eraser bin or candy jar! These fun and tasty prizes are something the kids look forward to earning and enjoying!
