My Students

We live in a rural, high-poverty area where students want more knowledge of the world around them. My students are special because even though they might be experiencing difficult situations outside of school, they always come to school ready to learn! These are high-energy, kinesthetic learners who want more knowledge, and Donors Choose can provide that!

My students want to learn in a high energy, fun, and educational environment, and I want to help them achieve that!

My Project

While studying The Great Gatsby, students will delve even further into their understanding of 1920s culture, art, music, and society with these supplies. We will create Great Gatsby themed art, listen to 1920s music, wear 1920s headpieces, and experience everything 1920s!

This project is a such a great way of combining music, art, and literature for high energy, kinesthetic learners!

I know my students will be so excited to see the role that music and art play in The Great Gatsby, and we will truly transport ourselves to 1920s America with our 1920s headwear. Music, art, and Gatsby? Yes, they do go together!
