My Students

We are a small town school with students from many different demographics. Many students are on free/reduced price lunch and there is a wide range of home dynamics. We have made great strides academically and continue to grow.

My students love to explore and create!

My classroom is a co-taught inclusion classroom with a wide range of ability levels. Hands-on experiences, differentiation, and modifications are necessary in everything that we do. My students love building, creating, and exploring new things. They love to use materials in ways that most would never imagine.

My Project

In my classroom students love to use various manipulatives to build, explore, and create. We use morning tubs to help students do this after their morning review is complete. They use creativity to use the materials in various ways. They also have the opportunity to explore the manipulatives and practice previously learned skills.

We currently only have 5 morning tubs due to lack of manipulatives.

My students are getting bored with the current items available and we need to be able to switch them out to keep the students interested and engaged. These materials will help us do that and keep the creativity flowing. The materials include magnetic letters, gear builders, number tiles, and linking cubes. Students will be able to practice word making skills, addition and subtraction, patterns, geometry, and engineering with these materials.
