This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching a dual language is a wonderful opportunity to teach future bilingual citizens. My dual language classes need bilingual books to fulfill our everyday lessons. Teaching in a low-income community is a daily challenge without the right books and supplies. My students will benefit from using the books and will have the privilege of using supplies with your help. My dual language students will use the supplies to learn in class and use their knowledge to practice and speak Spanish and English. When you help build a good library, you help build strong readers.

I wish to add a variety of bilingual books to our class library.

The majority of the books that I have chosen are in both languages. I wish to add books that focus on cities around the world, such as 'Spanish Reading Comprehension Workbook(Level 1,2,3)'. These are workbooks specially designed for kids! They are packed with captivating short stories, exercises, dictations with audio support, and engaging activities. Kids learn best when they are reading stories that are rich in vocabulary and when they can make a connection. The "Skills For Success Elementary Spanish Workbook for Kids, Grades K-5" will helps my students build Spanish fluency through fun and engaging activities such as the alphabet, numbers, colors, shapes, animals, clothing, verbs, and weather in Spanish.
