Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year my 6th grade students have been very invested in reading graphic novels. As a newer teacher, I am trying to expand my classroom library with literature that the students find interesting and engaging. These book series are ones that a majority of my class is invested in and is constantly checked out when we go to the school library.
By adding these books to our classroom library, it will help to continue promoting literacy in an engaging way.
Through incorporating these graphic novels within the classroom, students will have more say over what literature they would like to read and feel more in charge of their reading journey.
