Great Egg-Spectations

Help me give my students some supplies for the baby chicks we plan to hatch this spring, some new hands-on learning tools and chair pockets to help keep the classroom organized.

My Students

Many of my kindergarten students didn't have the opportunity to attend preschool due to the pandemic. They missed out on opportunities to develop the interpersonal, fine motor and academic skills needed to be successful in school. In spite of coming into kindergarten with these deficits, my class has made huge growth and I expect most if not all students to be on level both socially and academically by the end of the year!

My class consists of 26 amazing students.

Of those 26, three are English learners, two receive resource services, and five are in speech. All of my students have a positive attitude toward learning and make valuable contributions to our classroom community.

My Project

The dry erase boards, and chair pockets requested for this project will be used daily to provide easy access for us to document through drawing, the changes occurring as chicken embryos develop from eggs to adult chickens.

We will be hatching eggs in class this spring!

The binders, dividers and sheet protectors will be used as data binders to send back and forth from home to school to show parents what we are learning in class.

We will use the art supplies to use our creativity to express what we have learned about the chicken life cycle.
