My Students

Our students come to us from a variety of ethnic cultures. We serve a population of students with over thirty percent coming from low-income socioeconomic backgrounds in Humble, TX. Our middle school serves over twelve hundred students. My students include special needs, English as a second language learners, and 504 students with a variety of accommodations.

We are Texas strong and a community that sticks together and helps our fellow neighbors and friends.

Our students continually give back to the community through service learning projects. They work hard to provide food, clothing, and toys to those in need, to clean up our roads with trash pick up, and to perform music concerts for our local retirement home.

My Project

Our culinary arts classes are set up to create a junior culinary school environment. The students learn to set up the kitchen, store food products, rotate food inventory, wash all clothing materials being used, and tear down and clean up the kitchen nearly every day. Having the right equipment is essential to our success.

Please consider helping my students learn how to work in a "commercial" kitchen atmosphere.

Our equipment room is getting very crowded with broken-down shelving that does not meet our culinary needs. We need commercial shelves that can handle the weight load of our mixers, blenders, and other small wares. We are teaching young middle school students how to work in a kitchen to hopefully become a future chefs someday. The stainless steel wire shelving will greatly help to organize our kitchen equipment and supplies.
