Great Books Needed for a Diverse Library

Help me give my students a diverse collection of books to encourage students to appreciate different cultures and races.

My Students

Dynamic, engaged, motivated, and support young learners enter my classroom every day. To say I am lucky is an understatement. My students are dedicated to their education in whatever form that may take.

My students are going to need amazing resources to be the superheroes they were meant to be.

Thanks to your generosity, they will be able to reach all of their goals this school year, no matter what obstacles we may face.

My Project

I have a diverse group of students in my class and having great books that help students appreciate their own culture and race, but also teach others about culture and race will be essential.

My students love reading and learning about diversity.

One area that I need to grow in my classroom library is my cultural books. I have some, but after diving into our Black History unit I realized that I had limited resources to provide adequate education in diversity.

Seeing characters that you can connect with is an important way to feel included in your classroom community. When students feel seen for the wonderful children they are, they will always strive to achieve.
