This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are inquisitive, energetic and passionate. They are currently working on becoming better and faster readers. Our classroom has been a wonderful asset in this endeavor. Thanks to this library my students have access to a wide variety of books that normally they wouldn't have.

The next step now is my students becoming great writers.

In the following months we will be working on multiple creative writing units in my classroom. Even though our classroom library is extensive, it lacks reference books for a resource such as a dictionary. Having such resources will enhance my students' writing in countless ways!

My Project

In our classroom we have an extensive library for student use. This library has been a priceless resource in helping my students increase their literacy and their love for reading. Over time it has expanded with one focus in mind, get all students to become great readers.

Now, we must take the next step, get students to become great writers.

In the following months my students will begin exploring the world of writing through multiple creative writing units in our classroom. Our classroom library lacks reference books for use such as dictionaries, thesaurus, rhyming dictionaries and other similar resources. Having even just a few of these tools will be a big help in making my students become great writers! Please help my students receive these tools to improve their writing!
