it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Get ready to meet the most AMAZING Kindergarten class! I have been teaching Kindergarten for 3 years and each year gets better. I get the honor to teach 21 amazing students. They come in eager to learn whatever I can teach them! I teach in a low income area where my children are thankful for every opportunity I can provide them.
Reading is a huge part of school and for kindergartners it is vital part of their learning. Don't you remember learning to read and wanting to read anything you could get your hands on? My students WANT to read and it is hard when there aren't enough books just right for them. I try to provide my students with books that fit their reading level needs. Some of my students have never had the opportunity to go to the library and check out books. I want my classroom library to be filled with books they can enjoy. Reading allows my students to have experiences and I want my students to become avid readers!
We read everyday! I read to the students, they read independently and they read to each other. It is important that they have a variety of books to choose from. They need books for their independent level in order to progress as a reader. I have a very diverse class with different needs so I need a class library with several different levels of books. I always try to go myself and buy different books for my students but it gets very expensive and I can't keep up with the needs of my students. With a very low budget for kindergarten your help is vital for my early readers! These books will be a dream come true for my students!
When I am teaching my students I always have my son in the back of my mind. I try to care for all my students as if they were my own! I want them to have the best experiences life can offer them. Books are the key to education and my dream is to give my students the BEST education possible! With your help this dream of mine is possible!
