My Students

My students are a diverse group with different needs and abilities in and out of the classroom, however they are so eager and willing to learn. When they step foot in our classroom, they know they have a teacher who loves them, classmates who want to help them, and a school environment where they can feel safe and successful. They are passionate about their learning and embrace challenges.

Our school lacks a lot of the resources needed for students to be as successful as they can be.

I am hopeful to help my learners continue on a path of academic excellence.

My Project

I have some great readers in my class. What do great readers need? They need books that are high leveled and high interest, but I have been struggling to find exemplary, age-appropriate fiction books for my students. It is important for students to have access to and experience with highly exemplary fiction texts in order to become strong, independent, critical thinkers. This helps build students comprehension of texts.

There are 2 series in the Junior Great Book sets for 3rd Grade.

I received the first series from a project being funded through here and now my students need the second series as they have finished reading all the stories in the first set. Your donation will help build strong readers.
