My Students

I am a pre-kindergarten/kindergarten teacher at The Montessori School of Englewood, which is one of the first public schools in the nation to offer free Montessori education in an underserved, high needs community.

As a public Montessori school, we strive to create a community where social/emotional health, knowledge, and peace are a priority.

My students are thoughtful, creative, and curious children who need love, a healthy community, and proper learning resources to realize their full potential.

My Project

Our goal at The Montessori School of Englewood is to educate the whole child, where purposeful attention is given to children's emotions and characters, as well as their intellects through experimental learning. It is very important that my students are introduced to a variety of genres that will build upon their literacy skills along with develop an appreciation for the diversity that exists all around them.

I plan to combine building upon literacy of my students with learning about diversity by purchasing multicultural picture books that will allow them to learn about the traditions and history of their own culture and many around the world.

My students are curious and hardworking and I know this will increase their engagement in the classroom along with their literacy skills.

I hope that you will provide my classroom with the tools they need to be successful, thoughtful, and curious children with open minds and hearts!
