Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials and resources I am requesting will be very useful in my kindergarten class because they will help my students in multiple ways: The mat will give them more space to do our relaxation exercises and for our knowledge class where we sit down to discuss the reading we have done.
Crayons allow them to express in writing what they've learned through reading.
The small boxes will help them with the reading material, which is organized into small groups where students use words to create sentences, identify sounds, and divide by syllables. Everything I've requested has a specific function in academic and personal development. With the drawers, students will have greater autonomy in time management and daily work by selecting their worksheet according to their Tier. The small group tables will be very useful because I'll be able to see and hear my students better when they're struggling with reading and math exercises. The wide variety of board games and puzzles will allow my students to develop social skills, such as negotiating with their partners when working in a group, and to develop concentration while having fun learning.
