My Students
My class is small and made up of students from a small rural community. Since we are a school that only has one section of each grade students spend all their elementary years with the kids.
My students are a group that looks out and cares for each other.
My students have a wide range of academic abilities and interests. The majority of students in our school come from low-income families. Being in a small school district means that we have a tight budget for the extra materials. I would like to provide the students with books that at their level and of their interest.
My Project
This is my second year of teaching. I have a very small classroom library and would like to expand it. All these books haven chosen with my students in mind as well as the content I feel is important for students to learn about.
With these books, students will be able to choose books that they are excited about reading. These books will be available for students to reading independently which will help increase their reading ability. I will also use some of the books to continue teaching on topics that we have learned about in other subjects. Reading a book help students let their imagination run wild!
