it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A fun and engaging mental health activity that incorporates math is "Gratitude Graphing." Here's how it works:
Create a Gratitude List: Have each participant list five things they're grateful for.
These can be simple, everyday things or more significant aspects of their lives.
Categorize and Quantify: Categorize the items into different groups (e.g., people, experiences, achievements). Assign a number to each category based on how many items fall into it.
Graph It: Use graph paper or a digital graphing tool to create a bar graph or pie chart representing each category. The height of the bars or the size of the slices will show the distribution of gratitude.
Reflect and Discuss: Discuss how seeing the visual representation of their gratitude can impact their mood. Reflect on any patterns or surprises in the data.
