My Students

My school was created as a math and science school 60 years ago. Today, there is still a strong emphasis and math and science. We offer lots of courses, including honors, gifted and Advanced Placement.

I teach math (geometry, pre-Cal and Cal), mostly, but also one chemistry course (honors).

I have a group of 10th grade students and most of them like chemistry. I try my best to make the course as appealing as possible for the students who are not "science-inclined". But overall, my students put a lot of effort in their coursework, and are very involved in the labs.

it's a pleasure to teach such fine young people.

My Project

This calculator has the capacity to graph parametric equations simultaneously which gives students the ability to see detailed view of things like projectile motion simulation and classic physics problems involving distance, rate and time of two objects. By giving students the chance to see the curves display at the same time, they will gain a deeper understanding of why parametrizing equations is a powerful bridge between pure mathematics and physics. By working in teams our lower income students will have access to the same materials as other students who are more fortunate to have these powerful tools during each lesson.
