Graphing Calculators for Algebra Students

Help me give my students graphing calculators to enhance their learning of algebra.

My Students

My students are kind and enthusiastic. They are involved in many different in- and out-of-school activities to enrich their lives. They also juggle many family responsibilities such as working or watching siblings with completing their high school education.

Many of my students come from families that struggle to support their children's education.

Many of my students have never left the town where we live. I try to provide them with opportunities to think about their future possibilities and their place in the world. I want to open doors for my students that may not have been previously available to them.

My Project

Graphing calculators allow students to visualize data quickly in tables and graphs. They can also compute statistics, practice probability experiments, write their own programs, perform high-level calculus, and gain a deeper understanding of algebra, algebra 2, precalculus, and geometry.

I want to put the power of technology in my students' hands every day.

With the use of these graphing calculators, students can excel in Advanced Placement college-level courses such as AP Calculus, AP Statistics, AP Chemistry, and AP Biology. When they practice with these calculators every day it will allow them to be more successful on the national tests.
