My Project
Middle school is a challenging time for many students, but for students with print-based learning disabilities, middle school is a time of feeling fear that your peers will notice that you are not yet able to read. We can begin to overcome this by having books that these students can and want to read! This will have them reading more words, leading to increased reading outcomes.
My students need exciting, colorful books that they can and want to read!
They need books that will make them laugh. They need books that will give them the desire to work hard to master the skills they don't yet have. Graphic novels like The Magic Treehouse Series and I Survived will draw them in and foster their desire to read.
