Help me give my students graphic novels to help them learn to love reading.

My Project

Graphic novels may look like comic books, but they often encourage reluctant readers to pick up a book, and NOT put it down. It is those reluctant readers that this project targets. By the time you are in fifth grade you realize which students in your class can read well and which ones can't. If you are one of the ones who can't you try to hide it. But, if you have a graphic novel, no one realizes that it may be at a lower and more accessible level for you.

Graphic novels encourage students to talk about books and engage with the text and images.

All of my students can find graphic novels in this project that will be at their level, encouraging them to read, and what more could a teacher ask for?
