My Project

Our library has limited resources and funding. Students love graphic novels, especially the reluctant readers. Our supply is so small that we cannot keep graphic novels on the shelves. Therefore, many children do not have access to these awesome books.

Did you know that graphic novels are often a gateway book to reading for reluctant readers?

Kids gravitate toward them and the more children read, the better they read. Reading choice in the library helps children's motivation. When children are motivated to read, their reading skills improve! Graphic novels often lead children to other genres, expanding their reading repertoire.
