My Project
Author Gordon Korman wrote his first book as a school assignment in the seventh grade. When I shared this with my students, several were inspired to start writing their own stories.
We need new graphic novels so that students can enjoy a variety of books in our library to read, relate to, and realize their potential.
Reading can and should be fun, not frustrating. With the right books in hand, emergent readers will build their skills and feel proud of themselves while also developing a love of reading.
Perhaps one day, students from our school will be award winning authors!
