Help me give my students the opportunity to build key learning skills that include critical thinking, problem solving, sequencing and programming fundamentals through the use of Matatalab Pro Coding set and a variety of screenless programmable robots.

My Project

My class is made up of first grade students with a variety of academic abilities. I first designed this project for my inquisitive first grade students who all learn best with hands-on activities. I began a robotic club where 16 out of 17 of my students eagerly stayed after school an extra hour to problem-solve using the robots. My students thrived in gaining independent thinking and problem-solving skills. I realized the skills they developed were able to be applied to all subject areas. The best part was my students found that learning is FUN.

My goal is for my students to continue to develop critical thinking skills, problem-solving, sequencing, and programming fundamentals through the use of a variety of programmable robots.
