My Project
The Goal: For students interest in STEAM careers to grow as they explore a variety of Science projects and experiments.
The supplies requested will be used for students to participate in a variety of science experiments to explore some of what that the science world has to offer as well as offer storage for our supplies.
Some of the lessons we will complete with these supplies will include learning about electricity and circuits by making our own circuit cards, learn about measuring, mixtures, and the scientific method by making our own snow, snowflakes, bath bombs, and more.
The standards-aligned lessons will provide a variety of learning experiences that relate directly back to students’ real-life questions and observations, communication, collaborative learning, and building their confidence and preparing them for life beyond school. " Standards including SC.3.N.1.1, SC.3.N.1.2, SC.4.N.1.2, SC.3.N.1.4,SC.6.N.1.4,SC.3.N.1.5, SC.5.N.1.5, SC.3.N.1.6, SC.4.N.1.7, SC.4.N.1.8, SC.5.N.2.1, SC.5.N.2.2, SC.6.N.2.2:, SC.35.CS-CC.1.3,SC.35.CS-CC.1.5,SC.35.CS-CP.3.1.
To determine the project's success, surveys will be conducted to show that 80% of the students involved in grades 3-6 have increased their interest in STEM education.
