My Project

My Project Goal: With technology continuing to grow and becoming a part of our everyday lives in a big way students need the opportunity now more than ever to develop and enhance their Programing skills including coding through creative and critical thinking hands on opportunities.

These coding robots are perfect for students to not only develop but also enhance their coding skills and will accommodate a wide range of the levels of skills for each student.

Students will begin to use these sets during the 2nd quarter and continue to create with them throughout the year.

Just one of the many lessons students can complete with this is to understand sequencing by coding the robots to follow specific path! Students will learn how to program BeeBots by using a sequence of simple commands and by doing so will gain fluency with planning, testing, and debugging programs of increasing complexity.

The standards-aligned lessons will provide a variety of learning experiences that relate directly back to students’ real-life questions and observations, communication, collaborative learning, and building their confidence and preparing them for life beyond school. " Standards including SC.K.N.1.1, SC.1.N.1.1, SC.3.N.1.1, SC.1.N.1.4, SC.2.N.1.1, SC.K.N.1.2, SC.2.N.1.2, SC.K.N.1.3, SC.2.N.1.3, SC.2.N.1, SC.K.N.1.5, SC.2.N.1.5, SC.2.N.1.6, SC.K2.CS-CC.1.3.

To determine the project's success, surveys will be conducted to show that 80% of the students involved in grades PreK-2nd have increased their interest in STEM education.
