Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are going to enter their educational journey. This project will allow them to immerse themselves in using sand trays for multisensory handwriting practice. This project allows me to purchase materials - as well as their storage - that use their senses to promote the formation of shapes, letters, and numbers.

Creativity and hands-on engagement promote active and long-lasting learning.

The use of sand trays provides kinesthetic practice for pre-writing letter formation and letter practice. The drag, or pull, in the sand helps build connections for the learner through what we refer to as multisensory practice, or when we are engaging at least three of the senses at the same time.
