Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Over the past year, my students have worked incredibly hard in the art studio. Our school has welcomed over a hundred new students who took the art room by storm, and every single Graham Elementary Student has at least ONE incredible artwork to be proud of.

Now that the end of the year is approaching, it is time to share and celebrate Graham artist’s hard work, perseverance, and success with an Art Show!

We have the gym reserved for an amazing night, but we do not have any display panels or many supplies to help organize the space and transform the room into an art gallery.

Funding this project means supporting a special night for 400 artists who went from never having art class to becoming creative, persistent, and reflective artists who are eager to share their passion with their teachers, families, and friends.

Sharing and presenting artwork is a hugely important part of the artistic process: it affirms and validates hard work, it exposes kids to new ideas in other students artwork, and fosters collaboration and a sense of community for all. Please help me make this dream a reality!
