Help me give my students folders, looseleaf, pencils, ink and magnets to demonstrate their understanding of transformations on a coordinate plane.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Kyle's classroom raised $278

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are from a low-income area. A large portion of my students have social and financial problems. Most of these students are bilingual and receive free lunch. They struggle to bring in supplies and often struggle to pay and attend events.
My students are good children from low-income families that deserve the tools necessary to help them prepare for their future.
With all the obstacles facing my students, school supplies should not be one of them. They are hard workers who strive to produce work and lack the supplies to do so.
My Project
For the end of the year project, my students are asked to do a number of transformations on a coordinate plane. Because many of our students are graduating and looking forward to the end of the year ceremony, we use graduation figures to transform (diplomas and caps, etc.). My students are asked to do a series of translations, reflections, rotations and dilations.
My students will use the ink to print the images they will then copy and transform, pencils to graph their coordinates, the looseleaf to write the coordinates of their images, folders to keep their work together and magnets to display their work when completed!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
