Welcome to 5th grade! We're going to learn more this year than ever this year and we're going to use as much technology as we can get our little hands on.
I teach in a high poverty inner-city school. My students are loving and appreciative of any help they get. They love learning and work together everyday making sure that each of them is achieving successes.
My students love using technology in any way they can and are eager to learn new things from it! A document and LCD projector will open so many doors for them. They'll be able to create and present computer presentations on their favorite science topics and on interesting books they've read. They keep asking me when they'll be able to learn how to do PowerPoint presentations like their big brothers and sisters in high school get to.
In order to give my students these amazing technological experiences, I need a document and LCD projector. We could crowd around the few computers in our school, but why should my students not have the experience that others get giving college-like presentations?
You will make it possible! We'll be able to travel the world with the technology you can help us get. Help me take my students further than they've ever gone before!
