This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! The pre-sharpened pencils will go in the pencil dispenser. This will be set up next to the pencil sharpener, cap erasers and glue for easy access of supplies. The markers, crayons, dry erasers and white boards will be used by the students, so that they may complete their tasks during Spanish literacy and mathematics. The laminating pouches will be used to laminate materials since we are a dual language school that provides lots of visuals for our multilingual students. The post-it will be used for a variety of activities such as morning check in, cognados charts and exit tickets.
The donations to this project will help to improve my students' understanding of and competency in authentic, meaningful language acquisition.
