My Project
Due to working with students in the fully self-contained (FSC) setting, I am asking your help in creating a safe corner/area in our classroom that our students can use to help regulate their emotions in isolation. In addition, it's a safe area for students to learn and utilize the coping strategies that are used in the classroom setting. I also believe that these items will keep other students safe from their peers, when they are having an episode. When children feel safe in the classroom, they begin to trust their environment more, which in turn will help their academic success.
