This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help give my students a watch that has GPS and data so that we will be able used it to further examine the distance with time and finance. With this watch, we want to start a program to help students use STEAM curriculum to critically examine the different parts of the world around us. With this data they can create spread sheets with mathematics and financial costs of distance and time and their future career goals.

Measuring different aspects of nature can help students develop their critical thinking skills.

Eventually we want to have a class set of watches and experiment with the different measurements available for their daily lives. This GPS watch will be the start of a long-term STEAM study.
