Gourd Garden

Help me give my students two raised beds and a garden trellis to start their Gourd Garden!

My Project

The Sprouts love to garden. This year we started our garden club strong, planting an herb garden and late fall greens. This winter we will be starting seeds indoors for our perennial garden, and our new gourd garden. The Sprouts need a garden bed to plant their gourd garden and a trellis to help manage the growing vines of the gourd plants. Students will grow the gourds and harvest them in the fall. Students will make loofah soap, bird houses, ornaments, and baskets using the gourds they grow. Students hope to be able to sell their creations to the community to raise money for their garden club projects and to help maintain the gardens. The Garden club is open to students of all ages here at our school. Their favorite thing to do in garden club is "just play in the dirt"! Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!
