This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help us enter the 21st Century! My students are expected to be prepared to be productive citizens in a world full of technology. However our school does not have the means to provide the materials necessary for this to happen.

My students are bright, curious, and full of energy.

They deal with hardship on a daily basis. Our school is located in a low income and high crime area. Many of them are first generation students whose parents speak little or no English. Furthermore many of their families lack the means to provide them with the technology that they need.

My Project

A laptop computer will allow my students to become far more engaged both in our English and History classes. It will give them the opportunity to practice and become proficient in using different computer programs. For example Microsoft Word to type their essays and PowerPoint to create presentations.

My students deserve and want to be part of the 21st century.

Unfortunately our school lacks the technological resources to make this possible. We need your help to make our class part of the 21st century.
