This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Currently, not many people use cash anymore and it is very difficult to teach students how to count money. The best way would be to get money in their hands. This money would allow for them to have an entire set to themselves to count and not worry about being short manipulatives.

Having kids counting money will help them in the future with adding and subtracting and understanding finances.

It will give them the confidence to go to a store and purchase items and use their allowance. It is a great project.
