I am a seventh grade science/math teacher at WCMS in Warrenton, North Carolina. I teach two science classes. Given my dual role of teaching math and science, I look forward to the upcoming unit on force, motion, and simple machines. It will allow me the opportunity to integrate both math and science concepts and enhance students' preparedness for the North Carolina math end-of-grade test in April. I believe the materials will enhance our unit on force and motion and better prepare students for the math end-of-grade tests. Also, I believe my students will grasp the concepts easier with the hands-on experiments and manipulatives. The activities will help to reinforce various math and science concepts simultaneously. Thanks for considering this proposal for funding.
