My Project

My favorite way to teach the scientific process and life cycles is through insect hatching kits. Insects are interesting because they evoke such a wide range of emotions and reactions. Kids are both repulsed and drawn to them!

Kids love hands on science opportunities!

My scholars will be able to observe, record, and research butterflies, ladybugs, and praying mantises. Excitement, experimentation, and engagement is the best element of STEM learning. Watching scholars activate their curiosity and participate in eager discussion is so rewarding. Additionally, the waiting required is wonderful for practicing delayed gratification.
