Textbooks are a thing of the past, but my students need some instructional materials.
We are a rural school with 65% of students receiving free/reduced lunches.
They have limited experiences outside of their community. Most have blue-collar parents with limited knowledge of the importance of science. I would like to encourage my students to have futures in the science field.
My Project
My students need good instructional materials to reinforce what I have taught them in class. Students need more resources to learn from other than the teacher. These readers will help students learn through pictures and reading the information for themselves.
These resources will help my students by allowing them to learn the same material in another way.
They will be able to learn at their own pace as they read the materials. Learning through various resources help students retain the information.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
