My Students
Do you remember what it was like the first time you read a book that you could not put down? My students have not yet discovered books that capture their imaginations, but they have also not yet met Roald Dahl or Lewis Carroll.
My students are a diverse group of 2nd and 3rd graders cohabiting one classroom.
These class sets of books will help join them together as learners and step outside their differences in being a 2nd or 3rd grader. They will discover that they have at least one thing in common- the love of books and a good story.
My Project
Do you remember when you first read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or Charlotte's Web? These classics deserve to be main staples in a child's education. In addition to the stories that our students are exposed to in the Treasures program, class sets of these books will jump start their world in analyzing characters and stories that have long been a part of our English literature.
