My Students

Energized, excited, and fun are a few adjectives I would use to describe the students at CDES! I love watching our students entering the school doors each day with a smile! They are kind to one another and thoughtful. Many of our students have been in school together since they were in Kindergarten!

The students look out for each other.

They each have a buddy in the school! The kids even implemented a buddy bench in case kids didn't have someone to play with at recess. It is a wonderful school to spend each day, especially watching the character coming from these incredible students!

My Project

My students are crazy about the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series! We have done podcasts, contests, and I even dressed up as Greg, the main character in the series to motivate kids to read! I have tried to put a Brand New Diary of a Wimpy Kid book in my students hands before, but with no luck. The students usually have to share a few copies of the latest book. It is my dream to deliver the books to all of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students at our school on October 30th, the release date!

I want to bring reading back in style!

I want kids to be so excited about a book they can't put it down! I want to share my LOVE of reading and create life long readers! With your help my dream can become a reality!
