My Project
Most students are familiar with and enjoy eating strawberries. They are easy to grow, they have very few pests or diseases making them great for inexperienced gardeners.
We are a rural public school with all students receiving free lunch.
They have limited experiences outside of their community. Most have blue-collar parents with limited knowledge of the importance of science. I would like to encourage my students to have futures in the science field. These strawberry plants will aid students' understanding of growing plants. Many of my students have never experienced or enjoyed watching plants grow.
