Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

"Ms. Wheeler, you got any snacks?" This is a phrase I hear daily, multiple times a day. As you may know, people love food. Food is a common language everyone speaks. I work with teenagers at the high school level who receive social work/counseling services, and I have a pretty big bunch!

It is difficult to keep my "Snack Trapper" stocked.

Having snacks keeps kids visiting my office on a regular basis, even when we are not scheduled to meet. It can also help kids feel taken care of when they may be having a hard day, whether it be home or school related. It would be wonderful to get stocked up to get through the end of the year. Any leftovers would be sent home as summer packs with my kiddos!
