Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Most of my students are big fans of soccer. They know the names of players from around the world. They enjoy and respect the sport. However, most of them live in apartment complexes where a space to play is non-existent. Our school has a patch of grass that children enjoy playing in.

With this equipment, my students will be able to exercise by playing the sport they enjoy the most, soccer!

It will give my students the opportunity to use the grass area we have at our school site which is something that most do not have access to at home. What a great way to get my students out and exercising!

This is a Title I school meaning that most of my students are economically disadvantaged. Most do not have the means to join a soccer team or club. This will help them learn the game, be competitive, and learn teamwork.
