My Students

My students are all eager learners and showing growth in math. They come from a variety of economic backgrounds. My students come to me with a variety of experiences, ability levels and needs as well.

One thing all of my students have in common is their love for using technology in our daily math lessons.

Every day we use websites to enhance our learning or reteach material during their independent work time. My students work hard during this time and enjoy having some choice of their learning, working at their independent skill level, and extending their learning.

My Project

My students enjoy technology and love when we use it daily in our math and science lessons. My students enjoy watching a short video clip to introduce or clarify a math topic taught in class, or listen to their science text read to them, or taught to them with a short video clip.

We are struggling to hear and understand the current speakers our class' main computer has.

With the use of a Google Home Max we could direct the sound to the back of the classroom and wirelessly transmit the sound using Bluetooth so that it will be clear for all students to hear. Students who are able to hear the sound will be more engaged and attentive than they currently are when our speaker sound is muffled and projected from the front of the room over the teacher's voice.

We will also use the Google Home app to ask Google clarifying questions using the educator's voice. This will give us quick definitions for our vocabulary words, as well as clarify any misconceptions or questions our class may have.
