Goodwin School Travels America!

My Project

With a school of over 340 students, less than half have left our state of Connecticut! With this project, students will have a chance to learn about all 50 United States. The school will kick off a school-wide "Read Across America" assembly to introduce the dry erase map of the United States and book collection. Teachers will have a chance to share each "Discover America" books with their class. There are endless connections to Social Studies, Science, Literacy and even Math curriculum standards within each book. After each state is "visited", classes will color in the state on their dry erase map to track their travels!
