My Students
My third graders are eager to become global citizens and learn about the world around them. These thoughtful, curious, inquisitive young scholars and scientists are hungry for learning. They enjoy creative brain breaks, challenging real-world math problems, and critical thinking. Above all, they value being kind and being fair. I have never been prouder of a group of students.
We are a Title I public school in eastern Las Vegas full of kind, thoughtful, inquisitive young learners.
Our inclusion classroom welcomes a plethora of different types of learners and embraces all.
My Project
I am requesting materials for morning choice for my third graders. Instead of starting with silent morning work, I am transitioning to morning stations and choices.
Students don't rush to school to dive into quiet worksheets, so let's start our day with excitement.
I am requesting puzzles, a puzzle mat, tinkering toys, Legos, Lincoln Logs, and STEM activities to start our day with collaboration, conversations, critical thinking, and excitement about learning. Many of these activities promote spatial thinking and geometric skills, both of which are areas of need for my third graders. By having them create and share their work, not only are they living the engineering process, but have an authentic chance to work on their presentation skills as well.
