Help me give my students dry erase boards and dry erase answer paddles to allow them to be fully engaged in an interactive and fun way during whole-group and small-group instruction time.
I teach third grade in an inclusion classroom where all of my students are included in my classroom regardless of their different learning needs and abilities. With that being said, I have a wide array of learners. Some have learning disabilities, speech impairments, receive occupational therapy, and have emotional behaviors.
When I describe my classroom of students, I use the word "family".
My students are kind to one another, hard-working, and motivated. They are willing to take on challenges and encourage one another. I love that my students cheer one another on when learning may become challenging, and their positive attitudes toward school inspire me. Despite their circumstances they may be going through at home or the challenges they are faced with academically, their drive and desire to succeed is simply amazing!
My Project
The dry erase boards will allow my students to practice their spelling words, vocabulary terms, and writing independently, with partners, during small-group instruction, and whole-group instruction. For quick formative assessments, students will be able to write their answers and responses to questions on their dry erase boards rather than paper.
Rather than using paper and pencil, these dry erase boards will allow students to be fully engaged in learning and will make learning fun!
Students will be able to answer questions on their dry erase answer paddles during small-group and whole-group instruction. Students can use these whiteboards while working around the classroom independently, with their partner, or in a small group!
